a 501(c)3 Ocean Outreach Project
Our 2019 L52 Expedition off the coast of Japan will focus on three submarines and one Fletcher Class Destroyer. The Lost 52 Project long term exploration and underwater archeological project is documenting and preserving the story of the Lost 52 WWII Submarines, leaving a foundation of knowledge for future generations. Our team is organizing, executing and managing expeditions with the goal to discover and survey as many of the lost 52 US WWII submarines as possible. As we deploy in this effort we are always cognizant of other Lost WWII ships that may be in the vicinity of our search areas. In the 2019 season we have opted to add the USS Little a Fletcher Class Destroyer that wast struck by 4 Kamikazes off of Okinawa in 1945.
